It's the 22nd century. Sam Asgarde, an ex-military pilot, is one of the few who survived a worldwide plague. He had to deliver a "drop" from his plane and has felt guilt ever since. He faces the biggest challenge of his life when he must save the world from a religious cult leader who wishes to eradicate all survivors except for a chosen few. However, Sam knows that there is a wondrous woman, Karuy, who is a mysterious and perhaps extraterrestrial woman, yet who loves him, and might be able to solve his problems -- if only he can save her life.

The remnants of humanity scavenge through the ruins of civilization in fear of their own inevitable deaths. A militaristic religious cult led by Reverend Zek have gained absolute power and will use any means to eradicate all but the "chosen few". Zerk, learning that Sam owns a milk cow, intends to kill him and butcher the animal. An alien woman, Karuy, who carries the cure for the plague in her blood, helps Sam fight off Zerk's fanatical army with her highly-advanced weapons. Karuy and Sam fall in love, and she is subsequently captured and tortured by Zerk. Sam, a man with a terrible secret, has to make a choice leading to a fiery Armageddon in a desperate bid to save humanity.
