Vampire Anton Voytek's lair is disturbed by the ground breaking for a new church. Anton attempts to start a modern life using his hoarded wealth, but finds it's been confiscated by the authorities. He takes revenge on the architect responsible, who in turn, aided by a retired detective, tries to hunt down and destroy Anton.
An architect builds a new church in San Francisco that ultimately displeases the local vampire community so its leader, Anton Voytek, kills the man's girlfriend to show his displeasure. The architect then teams with a local cop to get even.
Synopsis Vampire (1979)
A neglected site in San Francisco is about to get new life as the Bryant Park Development Project unfolds. In attendance at the dedication ceremony are the designing architects, John (Jason Miller) and Leslie (Kathryn Harrold) Rawlins, who bow their heads proudly but reverently as Father Hanley (Scott Paulin) blesses the newly-unveiled cross which is to form the foundation of the new Saint Sebastian's Church and the cornerstone of the schools and apartments yet to be built. Also in attendance is retired detective Harry Kilcoyne (E.G. Marshall) who notices, after the blessing is over, the bulldozers are revving up, and the attendees are filing away, that the ground is smoking where the shadow of the cross falls on it. How odd. Later that night, unseen by no one, a naked body crawls out of the smoking hole.A month passes. At a party thrown by the Rawlins, Leslie is introduced by her lawyer friend Nicole DeCamp (Jessica Walter) to a new beau, Anton Voytek (Richard Lynch), tall, blonde, handsome, stately, and rich. Voytek is an expert in art and is able to tell Leslie about the model in one of the paintings she acquired in Paris. As Nicole and Anton are leaving, Anton tells John that he has an interesting proposition to present to him and offers to treat the Rawlins to a night at the ballet so that they can talk about it. Unfortunately, Anton is unable to keep the date, but he asks Nicole to present the project to John and Leslie. It appears that Anton's family were wealthy Europeans who had millions of dollars of valuable artwork by artists such as Donatello, Botticelli, and da Vinci, which they smuggled into the U.S. during the war and buried in caverns under the Heidecker estate, the very place where Byrant Park is being erected. Voytek wants the Rawlins to halt the development project temporarily and dig up the family treasure.
The next day, as John tries to make heads or tails out of some blueprints of the underground caverns, Leslie visits the art museum and learns that all the artworks on Anton's list are bona fide... and they've been reported stolen from museums and collections around the world. Work on Bryant Park stops, the artwork is recovered along with a human skull and a rosary, and Voytek is arrested. As the police lead him away, Voytek turns to John and says, "I trusted you, Rawlins, and that trust cost me everything I treasure. I assure you that you will be repaid... in kind."
Voytek spends the night in jail, but Nicole bails him out just before dawn. Without a word of thanks, he takes off running down the street and makes it to his light-tight apartment just as he starts to smoke in the morning sun. That night, he pays a visit to the Rawlins's house, catching Leslie as she prepares to leave. She invites him in for just a moment, and so starts the seduction. By the time John returns home, Voytek has killed Leslie and mutilated her body. Unfortunately, the police cannot tie Voytek to the scene, and Nicole swears that Anton was with her all evening.
In his anger and anguish, John breaks into Voytek's apartment just as he is waking in his coffin. John realizes that Voytek is a vampire and tears out of there. However, a neighbor calls the police, and John is taken to jail. His friend and colleague Christopher Bell (Michael Tucker) bails him out. On his way out, John is spotted by Harry Kilcoyne. Harry follows John and is intrigued when John goes to the library and takes out a lot of books about vampires, so intrigued, in fact, that when he learns John has been taken to a mental hospital armed with crosses and stakes, Harry goes to see him. Unfortunately, Voytek has gotten there first. Just as Voytek bends over John, who is helplessly strapped to his bed, Harry enters the room. Voytek leaps out the window.
Turns out that Harry has had doings with Voytek in the past and also suspects that Voytek is a vampire. Later, as John and Harry share a drink in Harry's living room, Harry tells John the story. Back in 1939, Harry and his cop buddy Maurice Bernier were assigned to investigate a series of murders in the Bryant Park area. In each case, the victim's throat was torn out, but there was never any blood found. At first, they thought they were looking for a homicidal maniac. However, Bernier eventually came to believe it was the work of a vampire. Bernier took an early retirement, became a priest, and founded the first St Sebastian Church a stone's throw away from the Heidecker estate. Harry went off to war. When he got back, Bernier had vanished. It is Harry's assumption that Bernier, along with his rosary, trapped Voytek in the caverns under the Heidecker estate. Rather than face his own destruction, Voytek brought down the whole estate on top of them both, killing Bernier and trapping Voytek there for the past 40 years, releasing him now because of the new construction.
Just as John and Harry come to realize that they're going to have to band together to hunt Voytek, there comes a knock on their door. It's little Tommy Parker (Adam Starr) from across the hall and his mother Andrea (Barrie Youngfellow). Andrea is late for work and is wondering whether Harry can babysit Tommy. After Harry gets Tommy in bed, John tells Harry what he's learned about Voytek from the books he's been reading. There are stories about a golden-haired vampire from as far back as the 13th century in what is now Hungary. John thinks they refer to Voytek, making him over 700 years old!
Harry suggests that their first act should be to contact casket companies in the morning, looking for a large purchase by one individual, on the hunch that Voytek would have several places of sanctuary. The next step will be to track down the locations of these caskets and, even if they don't find Voytek in them, to make them uninhabitable for him. When Andrea returns to take Tommy home, Harry presents her with the gift of a crucifix that once belonged to his dead wife and asks her to send Tommy a week early to visit his father in Arizona.
The next day, Harry picks up a few vials of holy water and has a friend fashion some stakes for him. Tommy takes off for Arizona, after Andrea places Harry's crucifix on Tommy's neck. John discovers that five caskets for theatrical use were ordered by Maurice Bernier and delivered to 635A Howard Street. At the Howard Street address, which turns out to be a theater, Harry and John find a casket. When they open it, they are horrified to find it contains Leslie's body. At first, John cannot drive the stake. After a little prompting from Harry, he does the deed.
Meanwhile, Harry has asked a friend of his to keep his eye on Andrea at the disco where she works. It's closing time, and Harry is a bit late picking her up, so she accepts a ride in the limo of a friend of one of her co-workers. After the driver drops off the coworker, Voytek gets in. When Harry finally gets to the disco, he finds that his friend has been murdered and Andrea is gone. He hurries back to his apartment to see if Andrea has gotten home safely. Instead, he gets a phone call from Voytek who informs Harry that he has captured Andrea.
Now it becomes even more imperative to step up their search for Voytek. First stop is Nichole's house. Nicole looks pretty bedraggled, but she reluctantly gives John a list of properties that Voytek has recently purchased through her. John warns Nicole to get away from Voytek, and then he and Harry set out to visit each one of the properties, looking for Voytek's coffins and making them uninhabitable. The first stop is Voytek's Nob Hill apartment, but he has totally vacated the premises. Next top is an old mill, followed by the old Heidecker brewery, where they find nothing but empty coffins. It's getting late in the day when they finally reach the last property way up the coast in Mendocito...five acres of an old cemetery where they must search for the Heidecker family vault.
The sun has gone down. Voytek rises from his coffin and wakes up Andrea just as Harry and John enter the vault. Andrea screams at them to go away, but they are determined to end it here and now, even though Voytek promises to go away and never return. As Voytek threatens them with his plans to destroy everyone they love, including Tommy, Harry slowly unscrews the lid on one of his vials of holy water. As Voytek drones on, Harry tosses the water at him. Then, they attack Voytek with crosses, but Voytek overpowers them and gets away. Andrea returns to her senses.
"We're safe for tonight," Harry says.
"It's not over," John says.

Despite obvious signs, Becca takes an unusually long time to recognise the halloween decorations up, all over. Even the odd appearances of various people, including her old friend, Jacob White, whose suddenly got canine traits (including a tail), and his odd urge to chase cats. She falls in love with sickly pale Edward Sullen, a member of the depressed, bloodthirsty adopted family of Dr. Carlton.

Becca Crane (Jenn Proske) moves to Sporks to live with her clueless father, Sheriff Frank (Diedrich Bader), after her mother starts an affair with Tiger Woods. Meanwhile, killings have been happening to random people and the number one suspects are the Kardashians. Becca is quickly befriended by many students at her new high school, including Jennifer (Anneliese van der Pol) but she is intrigued by the mysterious and aloof Edward Sullen (Matt Lanter), who perplexes her during their time in the biology class, despite thinking she smells of tuna.Later, Becca is nearly struck by a van in the school parking lot. Edward inexplicably moves from several feet away and stops the vehicle by thrusting another student in its path without any harm to himself or Becca (the other student is very badly injured). He later refuses to explain this act to Becca and warns her against befriending him. After much research, she tells Edward that she knows what he is, but reaches the wrong conclusion that he is a Jonas Brother. Edward corrects her, saying he is a vampire but that he only consumes animal blood, and shows her the shiny bling he wears under his clothes. The pair fall in love, and he introduces Becca to his vampire family on her birthday. While unwrapping a gift, Becca gets a paper cut, causing Edward's family to go into a blood frenzy and try to kill her before Edward fights them off. Realizing the danger that he and his family pose to Becca, Edward ends their relationship while saving her from the one of the three nomadic vampires who have been killing humans, Jack (Charlie Weber), by knocking his head off with a baseball bat. Jack's head flies through Sheriff Frank's car window, and he blames the Kardashians.
Edward's departure leaves Becca heartbroken for months (and screaming for hours), and she discovers that thrill-seeking activities and attempted suicides evoke Edward's preserved image. She is also comforted by her deepening friendship with Jacob White (Christopher N. Riggi), the cheerful childhood friend who eases her pain over losing Edward. When Becca is accosted in the woods by another of the nomadic vampires (the third not appearing, as she was recast), Jacob transforms into a Chihuahua as his werewolf pack arrives to save her.
Meanwhile, Edward has moved to Rio de Janeiro and is now dating Lady Gaga to get over losing Becca. When his sister arrives and tells him that, with her gift of prophecy, she has seen Becca kill herself, Edward becomes depressed and decides to provoke the "Zolturi", a powerful vampire coven, by exposing himself in the sunlight at 'St. Salvatore's day' school prom and forcing them to kill him for revealing that vampires exist. His sister has another vision of Becca's survival as he leaves, but she is unable to warn him.
Edward's sister arrives at Becca's house in her Porsche 911, and tells her she has to save Edward by showing him she is still alive. Jacob appears and demands that Becca choose between him and Edward, but just before she announces her decision he is distracted by a cat and runs off to chase it. Upon arriving at the prom, Becca is caught between the warring factions of Edward fangirls and Jacob fangirls. She is unable to reach Edward before he exposes himself, figuratively and literally. However, twilight occurs (followed by a new moon and an eclipse), concealing Edward's vampire nature as Becca gets him to safety. But after a fight between him and the Zolturi leader, Daro (Ken Jeong), Edward is forced to make Becca into a vampire or else he will be killed horribly. He agrees to do so only on the condition that she marry him, which she accepts.
The film concludes with Edward taking a blow to the head from the head Jacob fangirl, who shouts "Team Jacob, bitch!" Edward survives the blow, and the girl is attacked by the newly-vampirized Becca.

A ghost sucks the life-force out of a one of Uncle Nine's student. The other is slowly turned into a vampire. They halt his transformation by filing down his teeth! The female ghost throws her head around like a boomerang to protect herself. Can Mr. Vampire chase away the Succubus and the hopping ghost and save his two students?
During a reburial, the local priest notices that the corpse has not decomposed and has the blue fingernails typical of a vampire. Before he can destroy the vampire, it escapes. Now he must deal with the menace, aided only by his two bumbling assistants, one of whom is soon infected by the vampire's poison while the other is enjoying the embrace of a life-eating she-ghost. The humorous highlight of the movie are the Chinese vampires, who hop comically, which must be seen to be believed.
Synopsis Geung see sin sang (1985)
Master Kow [Ching-Ying Lam] runs the local mortuary and is an expert on vampires and ghosts. He and his two bumbling assistants, Man Chor [Ricky Hui] and Chou [Chin Siu-hou], have the responsibilities of performing funerary rituals and carrying for the bodies of the dead, which includes the eight chiang-shih (hopping vampires) who, along with the Taoist priest who controls them by ringing a bell, are Master Kow's guests. That evening, as Man Chor is checking the wards pasted on the foreheads of the chiang-shih, lighting the incense which feeds them, and making sure that the flame which holds them motionless does not burn out, the joke-playing Chou startles Man by jumping out of a casket wearing a walking corpse* costume. While trying to save himself, Man stumbles against the altar, extinguishing the flame. Immediately, the wards start falling from the foreheads of the chiang-shih, and they start hopping around. Fortunately, Master Kow and the priest are able to secure them again, but the priest and his chiang-shih decide to stay elsewhere.The next day, Master Kow and Man meet Mr Yam for coffee. Mr Yam wants to talk to them about digging up and reburying his dead father, because he was told by a fortune-teller that it will bring him good luck. While Mr Yam and the Master discuss the process, Man has become enamoured of Mr Yam's daughter Ting Ting [Choi-fung Li], who has just returned from the city where she has been studying cosmetics. Three days later, everyone gathers at Grandfather Yam's grave for the disinterment. Master Kow tells Yam that the ground is contaminated and that they must bury Grandfather Yam elsewhere. He offers to take the body to his mortuary where it can be kept until another spot is found. To ease the spirits of the other bodies buried there, Man and Chou are told to place incense on each grave. One of the graves catches Chou's eye. It is the grave of a young girl named Jade.
Later that evening, when the Master looks at Grandfather Yam's body, he notices that his skin is changing and his fingernails are long and blue, signs that he's turning into a vampire. Master Kow prepares a magic ink which must be painted at right angles all along the coffin, forming a grid which will help to keep the body from getting free. Unfortunaely, it doesn't work, and Grandfather Yam [Wah Yuen], now a chiang-shih, escapes during the night. The first place he hops is over to Yam's house, where he kills his son. Wai [Billy Lau], the bungling captain of police who also has the hots for Ting Ting, blames the murder on Master Kow because of his long fingernails and arrests him. Kow warns Man and Chou that Yam will rise as a corpse, too, and bids Man to protect Ting Ting while Chou is to bring him an inkpot and some sticky rice and meet him at the jail. Just as Chou is delivering the sticky rice (which, unfortunately, he cooked instead of bringing it raw), Yam awakens. After a bit of kung-fooy, during which Wai gets the worst of it, Master Kow and Chou manage to stake Yam and set his body on fire. One vampire down, but Grandfather Yam is still out there.
Meanwhile, Grandfather Yam has returned to Yam's house where he chases around Man and Ting Ting for a while. Fortunately, they know that, if you hold your breath, a chiang-shih can't see you, so they manage to elude him until Master Kow, Chou, Wai, and the police show up. In the melee that follows, Man is bitten by Grandfather Yam, who gets away. Now they've got another problem on their hands in that Man could turn into a vampire, too. The only thing to do is to keep Man moving so that his blood doesn't turn stiff and to send Chou after some more sticky rice to draw out the poison.
But Chou has his own problem. Jade [Siu-fung Wong], the girl whose grave Chou saw when they were digging up Grandfather Yam's body, has fallen in love with Chou and come back as a succubus ("Lady ghost") to make love to him. She forces the night watchman to flirt with her, then screams for help just as Chou is riding by with the sack of rice on his bicycle. He rescues her and takes her to her home. When a sudden thunderstorm sends down torrents of rain, she convinces him to stay the night. The next morning, when Chou returns, Master Kow notices the love marks on his neck and surmises that Chou has slept with a ghost. Chou sleeps away the day. When he wakes up, he heads right back to Jade's house. Master Kow follows him, where he fights with the succubus (who does some interesting things with her head) until she flies away.
Later that night, after tying up Chou, the Master waits on the front porch for Jade to come. When she does, he does magical battle with her. Meanwhile, inside the house, Man has awakened from sleep and found that he's transformed into a vampire (of the walking corpse type). He tries to bite Chou, but Jade saves him. Chou begs Kow not to harm Jade, so he washes his hands of their love affair and reminds them only that they are from two different worlds. With tears in her eyes, Jade flies away. Now the question is why the sticky rice didn't prevent Man from turning into a vampire. Master Kow takes a hard look at the stuff and finds that it's been cut with regular rice. He sets Ting Ting to work sorting the grains, while Chou files down Man's fangs.
Suddenly Wai and his men burst in the door. Grandfather Yam is on the move again. Man, Chou, and Ting Ting spread sticky rice all around the house, then barricade the doors and windows. But they forgot the skylight. Grandfather Yam, now looking more like a walking corpse, breaks in through the skylight and takes them all on. Suddenly, the Taoist priest and his eight chiang-shih pay a visit. When the priest sees what's going on, he leads his vampires into the house and commands them to surround Grandfather Yam. But Grandfather Yam is one strong corpse and knocks out all the chiang-shih. At some point, the priest drops a ceiling lantern on Grandfather Yam. He bursts into flames as do the chiang-shih.
*Both the chiang-shih and the walking corpses appear to be vampires, but the chiang-shih hop and are controllable by the Taoist priest while the walking corpses lumber along more like ghouls and are difficult to stop. [Original Synopsis by bj_kuehl.]

Dr. Matthew Campbell has been experimenting on methods to regress the mind to primitive instincts so that we can find methods to improve our brains and not get taken in by cheap horror movie hogwash. He's developed a drug made from vampire bat blood and has begun treating himself with it. But instead of improving his mind, he's become ill and addicted. He dies, but not before trying to warn fellow doctor Paul Beecher. Fortunately for us, he dies before he can say more than that pills are to blame. While still at Campbell's house, Paul finds a bottle of pills and pockets them. He's also got another bottle of pills in his other pocket that he takes for frequent migraine attacks. He goes home, puts his jacket on a rack, and then he's struck with a migraine. He asks his daughter to give him the pills in his jacket pocket, and of course she gives him the pills of evil. He is instantly addicted and he must take one pill every day. Each time he takes a pill he turns into a hairy and very insane killer, and he doesn't remember what he's done, except as a vague dream. Can the police and the other scientists who work nearby figure out who the killer is and stop him before he kills the beauteous new nurse that he has just hired?
Dr. Matthew Campbell invents pills to help with the human mind but instead he becomes extremely addicted to them. He stops taking them and tries to warn his friend Dr. Paul Beecher about the pills but dies before he can. Dr Beecher accidentally ingests some of these pills, and unbeknownst to him they're turning him into a dangerous fanged creature.
Synopsis The Vampire (1957)
Just before Dr Matthew Campbell [Wood Romoff] dies, he passes on the product of his long years of animal research to Dr Paul Beecher [John Beal] . "It's the pills," he whispers. When Beecher gets a migraine, his daughter Betsy [Lydia Reed] mistakenly gives him one of the pills. That night, Beecher sleeps soundly but Marion Wilkins [Ann Staunton] is bitten by a vampire. When she is examined the next morning by Beecher, she gets hysterical and has a heart attack.Dr Will Beaumont [Dabs Greer] comes from the university to investigate Campbell's work. He knows only that it involved base instincts and some sort of addicting pills that change the brain chemistry after only one dose. The pills must then be taken every 24 hours or the 'animal' goes crazy. More people begin to die. They all have two puncture wounds on their throats and appear to have died from 'capillary destruction'. Sheriff Buck Donally [Kenneth Tobey] gets suspicious and exhumes the bodies only to find them in a severe state of 'cellular destruction'. Some virus, apparently introduced by the neck wounds, is eating their tissue.
Beecher suspects himself. He asks nurse Carol Butler [Coleen Gray] to keep him company one night but gets called away to surgery. At 11pm, he transforms into an ugly caricature of himself. He follows Carol home but she gets away. The next night he stays with Beaumont but, when Beaumont takes away the pills, Beecher goes crazy and kills him. The next morning, Beecher decides to kill himself. Carol shows up early for work and tries to stop him. When they fight, Beecher transforms. A night in San Francisco, during our time: A young journalist follows a man through the streets and they end up in an anonymous room. When the journalist starts to interview the man, the stranger tells him that he is a vampire, being over 200 years old. The journalist doesn't believe him, but after the man proves it's true, he tells his story: His name is Louis and in 18th century New Orleans he was 24, by this time owner of an estate and a widower already. One night, when he once again was destroying himself by drinking and other things, he was found by Lestat, a vampire, who bit him. But even after becoming a vampire, life wasn't fun for Louis until one night he met a little girl, Claudia, who would change his existence forever.
In 1791, plantation owner Louis De Pointe Du Lac is unhappy with the life he has, until Lestat De Lioncourt comes into his life. Lestat, a vampire, allows Louis to make the decision of either death or life as a vampire forever. And not until his decision is already made, does Louis realize what he has become. He refuses to take human life and is about to leave when Lestat, being the clever being that he is, turns a little orphan girl into a vampire to make Louis stay. The story is told by Louis in 1991 to an interviewer about the lives of himself, Lestat and Claudia through trouble, death, curse and love over the past 200 years.
Synopsis Interview with the Vampire: The Vampire Chronicles (1994)
In modern-day San Francisco, reporter Daniel Molloy (Christian Slater) sets up recording equipment in a run-down, upper level apartment. He intends to interview Louis de Pointe du Lac (Brad Pitt) who claims to be a vampire. Molloy is skeptical until Louis brashly displays his supernatural gifts, moving swiftly across the room to turn on a light. Louis' skin is translucent and he oozes charm.Louis begins his story in 1791 where he is a young plantation owner living on his estate in Louisiana. Having lost the will to live due to the deaths of his wife and infant child in childbirth, he squanders his wealth and gambles in shady bars, welcoming death. While wandering the waterfront, drunk and in company of a harlot, he is attacked by a vampire named Lestat de Lioncourt (Tom Cruise). The woman is killed and Louis is fed on, but allowed to live. Lestat has sensed Louis' dissent for life and returns to him to offer him a new one, giving him "the choice I never had". Louis meets Lestat in a cemetery where the vampire drains him to the point of death before offering him his own blood. Doing so transforms Louis into a newborn vampire and he is amazed at the change.
However, he quickly comes to regret his decision and finds feasting on humans immoral whereas Lestat revels in the pleasure of killing. As such, Louis begins to suffer and survives by feasting on rats and other small animals. Lestat lives with Louis at his plantation and the slaves begin to grow anxious by his presence. At a party, Lestat convinces Louis to seduce a wealthy but older heiress (Lyla Hay Owen) in order to drink her blood. While Lestat feasts on her powdered servant, (Lee E. Scharfstein), Louis attempts to feed but goes for the woman's irate poodles instead. Hearing the commotion and the woman's terrified cries, Lestat rushes over and snaps her neck and berates Louis.
In the interview, Molloy asks about vampire stereotypes; coffins, crucifixes, garlic, and stakes through the heart. Louis admits that most are nonsense, except coffins. Secure and comfortable, they are one of the only sensible things a vampire can rest in with no fear of the light.
During an evening at home, Louis has a rare moment alone with his servant, Yvette (Thandie Newton), who confides that she and the other slaves are concerned about their master and how he never eats or comes out during the day anymore. She comforts Louis but he takes her wrist and feeds from her. She screams and Louis suddenly has to stifle her. The other slaves, having grown suspicious of him over time, approach the mansion with torches to see Louis carrying Yvette's body out. Louis grabs one of the torches, tells the slaves their master is damned and that they should leave, and sets the mansion on fire. Lestat arrives and scolds Louis who seems bent on punishing himself for his sins. Lestat takes them to a mausoleum where they can sleep safely during the day.
Eventually they find a new dwelling in New Orleans but Louis remains despondent, refusing to feed on humans even when Lestat has them offered on a silver platter. In one instance Lestat brings home two prostitutes (Indra Ové and Helen McCrory) and toys with them before killing them, trying to entice Louis to give in to his nature; to end his suffering. Lestat's philosophy is one of pleasure out of necessity; they must feed, so why not have fun? He tries to persuade Louis to end his suffering, to no avail. Louis wanders the streets one night and stumbles on a sector infested with the plague. He discovers a little girl (Kirsten Dunst) weeping at the decomposing body of her mother. She runs to Louis for comfort but he is suddenly overcome with hunger and feeds from her. Lestat appears, laughing and celebrating Louis' break from abstinence by dancing with the girl's dead mother. Louis flees but laments that he finally felt what peace could be; by allowing himself to be a vampire.
He returns to the home he shares with Lestat to find that he's brought the little girl back with him, alive. Appealing to Louis' compassion, and to convince him to stay with him, Lestat turns the girl, making her a vampire, and names her Claudia. Louis resents Lestat for this, but comes to love Claudia as his own daughter. He and Lestat dote on her and shower her with luxurious clothes and dolls and Claudia grows into a talented killer, using her child-like charms to lure her victims. Lestat is proud of his apt pupil but, though time passes, Claudia remains a little girl immortal. When she finally realizes she can never grow old and look as other women do, she becomes furious. She demands that Louis tell her how she came to be and, after hearing the story, blames Lestat for her condition. She tells Louis that it's time for them to leave Lestat and devises a plan since Lestat would never let them go. On the basis of a truce, she fools Lestat into drinking 'dead blood' from two boys she overdosed with laudanum. Having fed from the dead, Lestat is incapacitated and Claudia slits his throat. She and Louis take Lestat into the bayou and dump his body in alligator infested waters.
They return home to pack, intent on leaving for Europe to start a new life, but Lestat returns, decrepit but alive, having fed on alligators and other animals in the swamp. He attacks Claudia for having been "a very naughty little girl" but Louis sets him and their home on fire. Louis and Claudia flee and make it to their ship in time to see the whole neighborhood aflame. They travel through the Mediterranean and across Europe seeking other vampires but never finding any. Eventually, they settle in Paris and, one night, Louis encounters a vampire named Santiago (Stephen Rea) who taunts him before meeting Armand (Antonio Banderas), a seductive vampire who theorizes that, after 400 years, he must be the oldest vampire in the world. Armand invites Louis and Claudia to live with him at his coven, the Thèâtre de Vampires where vampires pretending to be humans pretending to be vampires stage horror shows for humans, though they actually feast on unsuspecting patrons. Claudia is disgusted by their cheap theatrics but Louis is drawn to Armand by his charm and wisdom.
Santiago is able to read Louis' mind and suspects that he and Claudia murdered their companion, Lestat, of whom they knew - a taboo among vampires. Claudia is a taboo herself in that no vampire should create an undead child. With this knowledge, Armand tries to get Louis to leave Claudia to live with him. Louis is tempted, yearning to learn what he could not from Lestat. Sensing that he is leaving, Claudia demands that Louis leave her a companion and brings a woman named Madeleine (Domiziana Giordano) to their home. Madeleine has agreed to change for Claudia so that she can 'adopt' her. Louis reluctantly concedes. However, as soon as Madeleine completes her transformation, the Parisian vampires invade the home and abduct the three of them. They encase Louis in a metal coffin and trap Claudia and Madeleine in a well, open to the sky above. At dawn, Madeleine and Claudia are burned to death by the sun before Louis, freed by Armand, can get to them. Enraged and grieving over his loss of Claudia, Louis sets the coven on fire, killing most of the vampires. He escapes with Armand who, again, offers him a place by his side. Louis refuses.
Decades pass and Louis wanders the world dejected and alone before eventually returning to the United States and returns to New Orleans. One evening he finds himself visiting his old plantation and mansion, neglected and in ruin. There he discovers Lestat living alone, a shadow of his former self who cringes at car headlights and hasn't adapted to the new world. Louis pities Lestat and leaves him.
This concludes the interview with Molloy but, to Louis' disdain, Daniel only sees the potential power in being a vampire and requests that Louis turn him. Louis retorts that his life is nothing but suffering and, angered, leaves the apartment in a flurry. Daniel leaves the apartment, frightened by Louis' rage and drives off, playing a cassette from the interview. Moments later, Lestat appears like a bat out of hell and bites Molloy. Having gained some strength, he puts Molloy in the passenger seat and drives the car himself across the Golden Gate Bridge. He turns off the cassette tape, moaning over Louis' constant complaining and offers Molloy a choice; the choice he never had.

Synopsis Vampire in Brooklyn (1995)
A ship of dead men steers into Brooklyn harbor. It keeps going until it runs aground. A large wolf jumps from the ship. The wolf is the vampire Maximilian [Eddie Murphy], the sole survivor of the massacre of a tribe of vampires living on an island in the Bermuda Triangle. Max has come to Brooklyn to find Rita Veder [Angela Bassett], the half-vampire daughter born to a human and a vampire from his tribe.Meanwhile, Julius Jones [Kadeem Hardison] isn't having a good night. First, there was that ship that ran aground and plowed right through the building where he and Silas Green [John Witherspoon] were working. Then his woman kicked him out of the house for snoring while otherwise engaged. Now, two thugs are after him for his money or his blood. Then, just as Julius is about to meet his maker, the vampire Maximilian shows up, neatly kills off the two thugs, and informs Julius that he is to become his renfield and that the first thing he must do is retrieve Max's coffin from the ship.
Ship and dock are crawling with the law, one of whom is Detective Rita Veder. Rita and her partner Justice [Allen Payne] have been sent to investigate the accident in the harbor and the 18 bodies aboard that were found drained of blood. While checking out the ship, Rita falls through a rotten floorboard and lands in the cargohold where she finds a coffin and gets a glimpse of Max, who recognizes her immediately. Rita chases him, but he disappears. When she returns to the cargohold, the coffin is gone, a human ear remaining in its place. Max and Julius take the coffin to Julius's house, an apartment he rents from Silas.
The ship's log is retrieved, but it is written in some obscure language that no one at the university can decipher, so it is sent to Dr Zeko for translation. Zeko's turns out to be a nightclub, but Zeko [Zakes Mokae] is able to tell that the log speaks about a nosferatu on board. As Rita sits at a table, waiting for Justice to return from a phone call, she doesn't notice that a cobra in a nearby terrarium has escaped and is crawling toward her. Fortunately, Max is seated nearby and catches the cobra just in time, giving Max the perfect opportunity to introduce himself to Rita. He asks her to dance, believing that one dance with him will make her his, but Justice returns and Julius butts in with his jive talk, so Rita splits, not at all enthralled with Max.
Rita and Justice go back to the apartment Rita shares with roommate Nikki [Simbi Khali]. Nikki comes on to Justice but he turns her down and leaves. Instead, Nikki picks up Max and brings him home. Rita overhears the bumping and screaming in Nikki's bedroom. The next morning, Rita finds that Nikki has split with all her belongings, and there's a note saying that she's getting an apartment with a man she just met. Rita assumes it is Justice, and she becomes very jealous.
Time is growing short. Max has to start using drastic measures, like taking on the personas of other people, such as Preacher Pauly and stupid Guido in order to get closer to Rita. But Max's plans seem to backfire, so he takes the direct route and saves her from being run over by a speeding taxi. In gratitude, Rita accepts a dinner date with him. Max hurries back to Julius's apartment and casts every spell he knows to change it from a pigsty to an elegant lovenest, complete with candelabras, fireplace, and a baby grand piano. He finally manages to get his dance with Rita as well as a bite on her neck.
Julius is enjoying the benefits of working for a vampire, e.g., driving the black limo with vanity plates that say 'RIP'. He is also having to adjust to the side-effects, e.g., acquiring a taste for bugs and losing parts of his body. First his ear, then his right hand, then his hair, then an eye, then his whole right arm.
Meanwhile, Justice is following up a lead that suggests Julius might have been involved in the killing of the two thugs a few nights ago. The next morning, Justice pays a visit to Julius's apartment where he meets Silas Green who tells him that Rita was there all night with the new tenant, some suave guy. Just then, Justice receives a call from the dispatcher sending him to investigate a DOA at Brooklyn City Hall. It turns out to be Nikki.
Justice goes to Rita's apartment to tell her about Nikki. As he is holding her, Rita's tears turn into fangs and she tries to bite his neck. Out of the corner of her eye, she notices that her reflection in the mirror is fading. She runs to Max, who tells her of her father, the vampire. Justice goes to see Dr Zeko, who tells him the story of Rita's mother, a researcher who was studying the vampires on his island and who succumbed to the powers of the "dark one." Rita is the result, he says. He warns Justice that he must kill Max and do it before Rita loses all of her humanity.
Max attempts to teach Rita how to feed, but she refuses. When she tries to run away, Max retrieves her and brings her to his apartment, intending to leave for the island in the morning. He brings Silas to her, but Justice and Zeko arrive just in time to stop her from feeding on him. A fight breaks out, of course, but Max is easily able to dodge their fists and stakes. Justice searches out Max's coffin and opens it, prepared to stake him, but he finds Rita laying there. Rita begins to advance on Justice, her fangs showing. She stops long enough to share a kiss with Max and then stakes him, claiming that this part of her must die. Rita and Justice end up in each others' arms.
Epiloque: Max is dead, and Julius doesn't have much left in the way of limbs, skin, arms, etc., but Silas reminds him that he does have the limo, and they decide to go for a ride. In the backseat, Julius finds a ring left behind by Max and places it on his finger. POOF! Julius has back all his parts (and then some). The pattern repeats as Emma gets ill, but the General cannot rest, and seeks the advice of Baron Hartog, who once dealt a decisive blow against a family of vampires. Well, almost.
In Styria, Austria, General von Spielsdorf gives a party and a countess explains to him that she needs to travel immediately to visit a relative that is ill. She leaves her daughter Marcilla under the care of the General. Marcilla befriends his daughter Laura and then the teenager has nightmares, where she is attacked by a dreadful creature. The doctor finds that Laura is anemic and soon she dies. Marcilla leaves the house and the countess fakes a carriage accident to leave Marcilla, now known as Carmilla, with the wealthy Mr. Roger Morton. Camilla befriends Emma Morton and soon she starts having nightmares. Her governess Madame Perrodot is seduced by Carmilla and helps her to be close to Emma. Mr. Morton travels and the butler Renton and the doctor suspect that Madame Perrodot might be a vampire but they do not suspect of Carmilla. Will Emma be saved from Carmilla?
Marcilla Karnstein from time to time comes back from her death sleep, and under a different name, such as Carmilla or, now, Mircalla, spreads terror in a village with her vampire powers. General Von Spielsdorf loses his nubile daughter to Mircalla, and swears revenge, with the help of expert vampire-killer Baron Hartog, and the Doctor. Eventually, they will kill the female vampire, but not before she traps a number of female lovers/victims.

It is 1794 in the Austrian Duchy of Styria. Following the death of his sister, Baron Joachim von Hartog [Douglas Wilmer] vows to destroy the vampire Karnstein family. He succeeds in staking every Karnstein except for one, Mircalla Karnstein (1522-1546).Now, it is several years later. General Speilsdorf [Peter Cushing] is throwing a birthday party for his niece Laura [Pippa Steele]. All the young people have been invited including Laura's friend Emma Morton [Madeline Smith], Laura's boyfriend Carl Ebhardt [Jon Finch], a Countess [Dawn Adams] who has just moved into a nearby castle, and the Countessa's daughter Marcilla [Ingrid Pitt]. Suddenly, the Countess is called away due to the death of a friend, but Marcilla stays on as a guest of the Spielsdorfs. Marcilla and Laura become good friends, so good that Laura stops seeing even her boyfriend. Soon, Laura begins having nightmares of a large cat strangling her. Laura grows paler and weaker, and the doctor diagnoses anemia. It is not until Laura dies and the doctor listens for her heartbeat that two puncture wounds are found on her breast. And Marcilla has disappeared.
One day, while out riding, Emma and her father come upon a disabled coach bearing a Countess and her niece Carmilla [Ingrid Pitt in a dual role], on their way to tend to the Countessa's dying brother. Emma and her father invite Carmilla to remain as a guest. Carmilla and Emma quickly become fast friends. Soon, Emma begins growing paler and weaker and having nightmares about a big cat with enormous eyes. When the doctor is summoned, he places garlic flowers around the room and a cross on Emma's neck. When Carmilla attempts to visit Emma, she is thwarted by the cross and the garlic. Emma's father is summoned home from Vienna. On the way, he meets up with General Spielsdorf, Baron Hartog, and Laura's ex-boyfriend Carl. Hartog tells them about his encounter with the Karnstein family. He leads them to Karnstein castle where he points out a painting of Mircalla Karnstein. "Marcilla!" says General Spielsdorf. "Carmilla!" says Morton.
Meanwhile, Carmilla has convinced the staff to remove the garlic and cross from Emma's bedroom. She attempts to escape with Emma but is stopped by Carl holding the crosslike-hilt of his sword and chanting "Aparte Satana!" Back at Karnstein castle, Spielsdorf, Hartog and Morton see the vampiress return to her grave. They stake her and cut off her head. "Let us pray that Styria is rid of this evil forever," says Morton. Charlotte is a good girl virgin who is having some very bad dreams about sex. These dreams are courtesy of the vampire. Charlotte begins to change but as long as she remains pure for three days, the vampire will take her and they will live eternally together.
The seventeen year-old Charlotte is a virgin college student from a Catholic high-school and girlfriend of her college mate Chris. Near to the eve of her eighteenth birthday, a vampire that was her lover in a past life tries to seduce her to regain his human life. However Charlotte is in love with Chris and the vampire sends the sexy Marika to seduce him. Meanwhile Charlotte is also sexually tempted by the lesbian Sarah.

From the diary of the vampire (Martin Kemp): "I was in love once when I was a man. That time is now a mist in my mind. She was a maid to royalty and I was a nobleman. At the end of day, we would meet in our secret place. My love. My virgin. The sadness I felt each time she left. If only I'd known that day would be the last. The pain of loneliness without her."Centuries later, having drank blood enough to "fill a thousand lakes", the vampire has again found the soul of his loved one...in the person of a 17-year old college freshman named Charlotte (Alyssa Milano). But the vampire is soon to fall into eternal sleep. He has only three days to possess Charlotte's soul. Charlotte must willingly give her virgin self to him. Unfortunately, she loves another, so the vampire plans to sow seeds of doubt between Charlotte and her boyfriend, Chris (Harrison Pruett). He begins by enchanting Charlotte to his sleeping place in the loft in the campus bell tower. There, he caresses her and gives her an ankh which she promptly loses on the steps of her dormitory as she stumbles home. Chris finds her and carries her to her room.
Day 1: It is Day 1 of the vampire's three day grace period. Charlotte and Chris awaken and promptly begin to talk about when they will have sex. "You might be the one," says Charlotte coyly. But that night she dreams of herself in the arms of the vampire. He again gives her the lost ankh which she promptly drops on her bedroom floor.
Day 2: The vampire is getting weaker, and Charlotte is feeling confused. Her friend Nicole (Rachel True) invites her to a party that evening. While Charlotte is getting dressed, Nicole finds the ankh on the bedroom floor, so Charlotte wears it. At the party, Charlotte and Eliza (Jordan Ladd) have a run-in. The vampire summons Charlotte. As the vampire and Charlotte embrace, Nicole interrupts (she sees only Charlotte) and introduces Charlotte to some guy who promptly tries to screw her. The vampire saves Charlotte but kills Nicole because he needs for Charlotte to "stay pure". Chris dreams that Charlotte is with another guy, calls her on the telephone, she answers, and his worries are allayed.
Day 3: On that day, Sunday morning, Charlotte is approached by Sarah (Charlotte Lewis) a photographer who has her own studio in the dorm and invites Charlotte back to her studio where she encourages Charlotte to pose in some racy and revealing poses. Sarah almost seduces Charlotte, but she pushes her away and leaves.
In the evening, Charlotte breaks her date with Chris ("I've got to study!"), dresses up in a dark red evening gown and goes to another party. Meanwhile, Chris is almost seduced by Marika (actually the vampire in disguise) but Chris fights her off. Charlotte returns to her dormitory where she has a fight with Eliza, but the vampire appears and kills Eliza. The vampire goes to the bell tower. Charlotte goes to the bell tower. Chris goes to the bell tower. The vampire tries one last time to get Charlotte to submit to his bite, but she calls for Chris.
Day 4: Charlotte and Chris wake up alone in the bell tower. Today is Charlotte's 18th birthday. The vampire is seen in his underground lair where he goes to sleep.

Tony Thompson [Jonathon Lipnicki] is lonely and friendless. His parents, Bob and Dottie, have just moved him from San Diego, California to Scotland, and the two McAshton boys, Nigel [Iain De Caestecker] and Flint [Scott Fletcher], are making fun of him at his new school because of his obsession with vampires. Unfortunately, Nigel and Flint are the grandsons of Lord McAshton, Bob's boss.One night, a bat flies into Tony's room. The bat is Rudolph Sackville-Bagg [Rollo Weeks], vampire, and he's in a bad way. He can't fly, and the vampire hunter Rookery [Jim Carter] is looking for him. Rudolph desperately needs blood and asks Tony to lead him to a cow. While Tony waits for Rudolph to finish his dinner, Rookery attempts to run Tony over with his vampire-hunting mobile, but Rudolph saves him just in time. Tony and Rudolph are now tit-for-tat, each having saved the other. They decide to become friends. Rudolph sleeps the next day in Tony's toybox but is gone when Tony gets home from school. Rudolph shows up again that night, asking about a picture Tony drew of an amulet he saw in a dream, the amulet of Attamon, made by the Great Magician from a piece of the comet of Attamon. Tony offers to help Rudolph find it because it could mean the end of a curse that causes Rudolph and his family to remain vampires. Unfortunately, Rookery is also seeking the amulet because, used in another way, it can send all the vampires straight to hell. Suddenly, Rudolph's family shows up...father Frederick, mother Freda, sister Anna, and brother Gregory. Frederick is not happy that his son has befriended a human. Just then, Rookery shows up and starts firing stakes at the vampire family. Tony cuts the hose between Rookery's stakegun and his pneumatic air supply. The vampires and Tony take refuge in an underground crypt, and Tony has a vision in which he sees a woman covering the body of the Great Magician with a blanket bearing a crest flanked by two stags and a banner reading "Sola animo at manuforti."
Later that night, Tony and Rudolph pay a visit to the McAshton boys. Tony presents himself as the Lord of the Underworld and Rudolph as "the fiendish friend of Tony Thompson," and orders the boys to treat Tony with respect or else they will be bat-bait. The next day at school, the McAshton boys trip all over themselves to be nice to Tony. It appears that Tony's problems with the McAshton boys are over. However, his problems with the McAshtons are just beginning. That afternoon at tea, Tony's dad shows him a picture of the McAshton crest. Lo and behold, it is the one from Tony's vision. Later that evening, Tony goes to the crypt to tell Rudolph of his discovery, only to find Rookery there. Rookery lowers a bright light into the crypt, but Tony throws a rock at it and breaks the bulb. Unfortunately, Rudolph's father takes the full brunt of the light and is severely weakened. After fortifying their dad on some cowblood, the vampire family moves into Tony's cellar in order to hide from Rookery. During the night, as Tony tries to sleep, Anna [Anna Popplewell] comes into his room. She gives him a good luck charm (a dead mouse) from the old country and tells him to whistle if he should ever need her help.
It's Saturday morning, and Tony goes to work with his dad, hoping to learn more about the McAshton crest and the whereabouts of the amulet. Unfortunately, Rookery is also there, and Lord McAshton is telling him about the family history. It seems that the woman in Tony's vision, the one in which he sees her covering the body of the Great Magician with a blanket that bears the McAshton crest, was actually Lord McAshton's ancestor, Elizabeth, and the Great Magician was the vampire Von Sackville-Bagg. Even more important is the fact that Elizabeth is wearing the amulet of Attamon in a family portrait and was probably buried with it. Rookery asks where she is buried, so Lord McAshton takes him to the family crypt. They open her coffin, but it is empty. Most likely, she was buried elsewhere, but where?
Tony, who has been watching from a balcony, suddenly falls off...right into the coffin. Rookery, who has also been after Tony, closes the lid. Tony can't get out, but he remembers his good luck mouse and whistles for Anna. Although it is daylight, Rudolph and Anna cover themselves with a blanket and helmets and go to Tony. A mouse leads the three of them to a secret passage in which they find the real coffin of Elizabeth McAshton and Von Sackville-Bagg, but the amulet isn't there. Suddenly, Tony has another vision of Elizabeth burying the stone under the floorboards of her room...which is now Tony's room. Rudolph and Tony go to Tony's bedroom and start prying up the floorboards, but Rookery is wise to them. When Tony refuses to hand over the stone, Rookery takes Tony, stone and all, for a ride in his vampiremobile. As they drive along, they are attacked by a herd of flying vampire cows (the cows on which Rudolph and his family have been feeding) who cover Rookery's windshield with cowpies.
Meanwhile, Frederick and Freda realize that tonight is the night that the Attamon comet will cross the moon, and all the vampires must be called to unite on the cliffs. Frederick is still too weak to fly, so they introduce themselves to Tony's parents and invite them to view the comet, too, using their car to drive out there. The entire vampire clan is gathered on the cliff, but where is the amulet? At the last minute, Rudolph and Tony fly in. Tony gives the amulet to Frederick who says the magic words. A red light descends from the comet, a red fog creeps over the vampires, and they all disappear.
Epilogue: It is some weeks later. Tony and his parents are at the market in town when a new family moves in. It is the Sackville-Baggs, but they are human now. At first they don't recognize Tony, but a little whistle from Tony brings back their memories. [Original Synopsis by bj_kuehl.]
