Summary Kali, le petit vampire (2012)

This is the story about a boy not like the others that dreams about finding his place in the world.

This animated short tells the story of Kali, a young vampire who suffers from not being able to live in the light. Living in the shadows and inspiring fear, he lives envious of other children who don't even dream that he exists. One day, while once again watching young boys play beside the train tracks, he breaks from his isolation and discovers that because of who-and what-he is, he can make a difference in others' lives. Narrated by Oscar winner Christopher Plummer.

The darkness brings life to certain things, such as the moon and creatures that aren't awake in the light, the latter including Kali, a young vampire, albeit a reluctant one. He has long wanted to be like other children, to be able to play with them in the light. He tries to take whatever little he can of that life to which he aspires, hoping as daylight approaches that this day will turn out differently for him than all the other days past. As that "different" day does come for him, he still wishes there was more of a place in the world for him and his kind.
